Nobody gets a pass on grief or loss. As human beings, we grieve and watch others grieve both physical and symbolic losses. We often do so ill equipped and are uncertain where to go for help.
We extend a warm invitation to parents, caregivers, students, and teachers for a virtual seminar on Helping Teens with Grief & Loss on January 19th from 7 to 8 P.M. where we will be joined by Leanne Friesen | Author | Grieving Room.
Loss both physical and symbolic can be challenging for teens to process and equally difficult for adults to help navigate. Whether it is the physical loss of a family member, friend, or acquaintance or the symbolic loss of a relationship or friendship ending, not making a specific team or program, or not receiving an offer from a beloved school - loss is loss and it is hard, messy, and often complex. Leanne will offer relevant insights for us to be able to use. Specifically, she will discuss approaches to use when one has personally experienced a loss or is supporting someone who has.
