April 11, 2026 - Help Send a Senior to Prom! 2025/2026
Prom is one of those rare moments in life when everything feels a little more magical, where friends come together to celebrate the end of one chapter and the beginning of the next one.
Recognizing that not everyone has the means to attend and participate, the School Council is fundraising to subsidize tickets for graduates in need. Furthermore, additional monies raised will be gifted to identified graduates in need in the form of a visa gift card for them to purchase or rent an outfit to attend. We recognize being included is not merely in one's attendance but also in how one shows up.
Prom is not just about the event itself but in the memories made and stories shared with their peers in the days and weeks to come. 🫶
We invite families of all grades to make a difference today by contributing to help graduates in need experience "A Starry Night". We kindly ask you to make your contribution through School Cash Online on or before April 21, 2026, to help relieve the financial burden that some graduates are carrying.
Thank you in advance for your generosity in making this an unforgettable evening for all graduates.

April 29, 2025 - During National Volunteer Week, we wanted to express our heartfelt gratitude to our school community for all the different ways you have contributed to helping our community thrive. From volunteering for events and committees, to offering your encouragement and care, and for those who were able to providing a voluntary donation last fall during our annual campaign. Simply stated – we could not do it without you!
The impact you are having is extraordinary. We invite you to browse some of the photos and quotes from students and teachers we’ve received to date which demonstrates our collective impact firsthand.
The theme for 2025 is Volunteers Make Waves. Together, we are building a future for each student at YMCI. The ripple effect truly has no ends.
Thank you once again for your generosity of spirit. 🫶

Here's what we were able to provide the school during 2024-2025 school year, thanks to generous contributions from our families:
IXL is now been jointly utilized by our ELL/ESL students, as well as YMCI Student Success and Numeracy support teams. To learn more how an IXI subscription makes a huge difference to the students, click HERE.
Many of our English Language learners are not yet reading at grade level. From an English language development perspective, IXL is a great tool for remedial support, and for building student capacity. In having access to activities aligned with the K-9 English language arts curriculum, students and teachers can personalize learning, track progress and identify areas for improvement. Everything is practical, and student centered. One feature I particularly love, is that students receive instant feedback which helps develop self-reflective learning and metacognition. This is a very human, student-centered tool that is rare in a digital educational platform. My classes also enjoy the vocabulary and grammar games!
– Paul Bryant, Assistant Curriculum Leader, ESL and Literacy
I didn’t like it before, but now I think of it like a game that motivates me to study! Much like a game, I earn points. It’s also useful because it clarifies my doubts when I study.

High-precision digital scales and additional microscope adapters for the Science Department. Check out the videos! (below)
A programmable buggy bot is now used as part of the Science Grade 9 Unit 2 - Forces: Introduction to circular motion (right).
A new bass clarinet was acquired for the Music Department (right).
Wireless headsets for the Tech Crew and staff advisors (right).
"The Hollyland Wireless C1 headsets have significantly enhanced communication and coordination among Tech Crew members and staff advisors. These headsets enable hands-free, real-time wireless communication, allowing team members to respond quickly and effectively to unexpected situations without interrupting their tasks or relying on close physical proximity. As a result, we’ve been able to adapt more smoothly during live events and ensure operations run seamlessly.
More importantly, the headsets have fostered stronger collaboration between Tech Crew and other major school organizations—including MUCO, STUCO, and Student Productions—which had previously operated more independently. This improved communication has led to smoother event execution, fewer misunderstandings, and a more cohesive working relationship across clubs, helping to build a stronger, more unified Titan identity."
